Ultrasonic Inspection Courses
About Ultrasonic Inspection
Ultrasonic inspection uses high frequency sound waves for detection of flaws, imperfections or changes in properties within materials. The thickness of the sample, the depth and type of flaw can be ascertained using this method. It has become a widely used test method in NDT due to its reliability and accurate measurements. Progresses in the instrument technology has developed advanced ultrasonic techniques such as Phased Array & Time of Flight Diffraction providing even greater imaging.
With a variety of UT equipment and a range of different samples, TCS NDT can get you ready for what you can expect out in the field.
Training with us is made easy; broken down into the right balance of practical and theory.
Entry level into Ultrasonic Inspection begins with UT Thickness.

While not essential, as the course notes do cover all required areas, reading some of the below literature might help provide additional knowledge, and are generally available in reference libraries:
'Ultrasonic Flaw Detection for technicians' by J C Drury. Obtainable from the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing
Procedures and 'Recommendations for Ultrasonic Testing of Butt Welds' 2nd edition. The Welding Institute
See our knowledge section to try examples of the typical question and problems that you will encounter during the course.
